With 14 years of guitar playing experience and over 22 years of music lessons, I've been immersed in a variety of musical environments: from high school jazz band, to the music studios of chart-topping producers, and to now leading a New York-based art rock group. I graduated in jazz guitar from the Johns Hopkins Peabody Preparatory after four+ years of study, and have experience tutoring professionally at EMC Performing Arts Studio.

I also have 14+ years of songwriting experience and enjoy sharing the songwriting process. If you have an inspiring idea but don't know how to turn it into a whole song, I'll introduce the concepts of arranging, strong chorus-crafting, drawing inspiration, lyrical themes, etc.

While many music teachers focus primarily on theory, technique, and musical traditions, I believe a key component to true musical growth and successful live expression is linked deeply to our conscious and subconscious ideas and beliefs we maintain. In focusing on the current conscious state and moving from distracting modes of attention and priming the student towards a flow-state, music becomes freeing and more importantly--fun.
