I utilize flash cards and magnetic phonogram tiles and games to aid with teaching. I believe it's important to try methods that work best for the particular child (ie. are they a visual learner, etc.).

I have always been interested in education. I shadowed a teacher and completed the CBEST to substitute teach while I lived in CA, but they were not hiring at the time. I later had a family of my own and became what is known as an accidental homeschooler.
