I am a patient, non-judgemental and interesting teacher. I firmly believe that there is no 'one size fits all' approach that works with students. Thus my teaching size is customized to a particular student's needs. For some I go at a slower pace, others I use more diagrams, and for yet others I first revise what we went through in the previous lecture before continuing forward. You can ask me the same question as many times as you want and I wouldn't judge you.

As long as I remember, people have told me that I am a good teacher. During my undergrad and grad student days, many classmates would come to me if they wanted something to be explained in a better way than that taught in class. FUN FACT! Teaching runs in my blood - my grandmother, as well as both my parents and sister, are teachers.

I love math in all its forms : from algebra to geometry, from calculus to probability. During my undergrad studies in Electrical Engineering - a highly mathematical degree - I was ranked second in my university and received the 'University Silver Medal' from my state's governor. I also scored a perfect 800 in math at GRE.

I love tinkering around with Microsoft Excel, and using it to solve all kinds of practical problems. I have been using it for the past 15 years, and have taught it to many colleagues and students.

Both my parents are English professors, so I grew up learning how they taught English to non-native speakers. Later on, during my application to Columbia University, I took both these tests and scored very high marks. For example, at IELTS I scored 9.0 in reading and 8.5 each in listening/writing/speaking.

Finance has been a passion since my undergrad days. I passed all three levels of CFA in the first attempt, at a time when there were less than 5000 CFA Charterholders in India. More recently, I worked as a VP at Harvard University's $40bn endowment fund in Boston.
