"Hi, my name is Brandon! I graduated summa cum laude from USC with a degree in biomedical engineering, and I'm attending the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in August 2025. I have strong backgrounds in math, science, and standardized test-taking, and I would love to help other students succeed. I scored 27 AA on the Dental Admissions Test, 1500/1520 on the PSAT, and 1550/1600 on the SAT. I’m very familiar with the content of these exams, and I’m a firm believer that anybody can ace them, as long as you use the right approaches for studying. Whether you’d like explanations for a difficult concept, practice material to help with mastery, or advice for developing a study plan, I’m confident I can help you increase your score.
Outside of test prep, I can teach many concepts relating to math, physical & life sciences, or engineering. I’ve participated in STEM peer tutoring throughout college and high school - I like starting with simple conceptual examples to establish a concept, before building up to more complicated examples to strengthen understanding. I think walking through a problem step-by-step is a great way to learn, but I’m flexible and open to student needs or suggestions. I know what it’s like to struggle with a difficult concept – tutors have helped me out immensely in the past, and I hope I can do the same for you.
I also have experience working with younger kids: I’ve overseen 8-12 year olds as an overnight camp counselor, and I’ve been a TOPSoccer special needs coach, teaching the sport to elementary and middle school athletes with disabilities. I specialize mainly in high school and college-level content, but feel free to reach out if you’re interested in tutoring for a younger student, I’m happy to help however I can!" less...
