"As a double Harvard graduate (BA and Masters), I bring extensive experience in mathematics, computer science, statistics, and physics tutoring to help students achieve their academic goals. My undergraduate and graduate studies included comprehensive coursework in mathematics, physics, and statistics. One of my favorite experiences was serving as a teaching fellow of Statistics and Machine Learning at Harvard to undergraduates during my Bachelors and Masters degrees.
For three years, I worked as a full-time private tutor, specializing in standardized tests, mathematics and physics. During this time, I taught high school students in one-on-one settings, covering subjects including AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Physics, geometry, and standardized test preparation for the SAT and ACT.
I love creating "aha!" moments in my one-on-one work with students. I try to create a warm, welcoming space where students can ask anything – there are no "silly questions" in my book! The best part of tutoring is watching students grow from being intimidated by complex problems to confidently tackling them head-on. I believe learning is a highly individual process, and it has always been essential to find the way of learning that works best for each student to build their skills and confidence.
My experience extends beyond traditional academic subjects through my recent work as a data scientist in the health technology sector. This real-world application of mathematical concepts enables me to provide students with practical examples and demonstrate the relevance of their studies to future career opportunities. Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students aged 14-18, adapting my teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and academic goals. My patient, empathetic approach, combined with my strong academic background and proven track record of student success, makes me well-equipped to help students excel in their mathematical and scientific studies." less...
