"From an early age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I had an insatiable curiosity, devouring every book I could find and immersing myself in learning purely for the joy of it. I quickly discovered that my love of learning was even more fulfilling when shared, whether helping a classmate solve a math problem or teaching my younger brother a new card game, I found joy in guiding others to understanding.
My passion for teaching initially led me to the classroom, first as an English teacher with the Fulbright Program in Colombia, then to a master of education program at Harvard, and then to different English and history teaching positions at public and private schools. In 2020, I transitioned to a role in ed tech, working for a college essay writing company. I discovered a new passion: using technology to expand access to education for students. I decided to found my own company, Revision Learning, with the goal of teaching students all over the world how to improve their writing and use storytelling for college admissions success.
I enjoy working directly with students, which is why I continue to teach courses at Brown University each summer and tutor students throughout the year. I believe writing is an essential skill that enables students to think critically, communicate effectively, and express their ideas with clarity. I especially enjoy guiding students through the college essay writing process by using my extensive knowledge of U.S. college admissions, my custom curriculum, and my unique question-based feedback. In the end, the students I work with are able to transform uncertainty into compelling, authentic narratives that help them stand out in the admissions process.
In addition to my master's from Harvard, I also have a master's in Spanish from Middlebury and a bachelor's in history from the University of Massachusetts Honors College. Along with my academic credentials, I also bring over15 years of teaching and tutoring experience working with middle school, high school, and college students." less...
