"I’m Tammy, an experienced legal educator and tutor with nearly 20 years of experience teaching law. I earned my J.D. from Harvard Law School and also hold an M.S. in Information from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in English Literature from Gannon University, where I studied abroad at Oxford and La Sorbonne. Throughout my career, I have taught a variety of legal subjects, including legal writing and research, advocacy, evidence, constitutional law, disability law, employment discrimination, and family law, at both law schools and undergraduate institutions. I have also published articles on legal education and pedagogy, reflecting my commitment to improving how law is taught and learned.
Currently, I’m an Assistant Professor of Legal Studies at Hamline University, and I have extensive experience working with both undergraduate and law students. In addition to teaching, I have advised students on the law school admissions process, helping them navigate applications, personal statements, and test preparation. I also offer tutoring in general writing, grammar, literature, and history, reflecting my background in English and my passion for helping students develop strong analytical and communication skills. My approach to tutoring focuses on critical thinking, argumentation, and test-taking strategies, ensuring that students develop confidence and precision in their work. Whether you’re preparing for the LSAT, tackling complex legal topics, or strengthening your writing and analytical skills, I offer personalized, one-on-one support to help you achieve your goals.
Please reach out with any questions you might have or to schedule a lesson. I look forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals!" less...
