"Hi there! My name is Andrew, and I'm currently a medical student at Harvard Medical School. Before this, I was a New York Times-recognized biology teacher, driven by a passion for education. My journey has taken me from running several educational organizations in college to serving as a public school teacher and science department chair, and now to conducting research at Harvard on how to better support struggling students and enhance instruction. With a Master of Education degree under my belt, I know the evidence-based techniques that help students to reach their full potential.
I scored a 524 on my MCAT (100th percentile) after three months of studying while working full-time. Since then, I've tutored dozens of students, helping them build and stick to study schedules, introducing resources, and reinforcing strategies to help them achieve their target MCAT scores. I also have extensive experience in medical school admissions advising, including planning the premedical years, essay editing, and interview preparation. My guidance has helped many applicants gain acceptances to top medical schools. Additionally, I tutor high school biology, drawing from my experience teaching and building a biology curriculum from scratch.
