"I have 36 years of hands-on RN job experience which included numerous teaching opportunities in pediatrics, newborn nursery, nicu, cpr, med-surg and hospice nursing. I was taking college classes part-time over the years, (I was a diploma RN grad), and completed my BSN in 2004. In addition, I homeschooled my three daughters, K-12 grades. All three of my children are successful in their careers. One daughter is a pharmacist, one a licensed Psychologist and the other homeschooled her own two children. I love to teach and see the results when a concept is realized and understood by the learner.

I have had the opportunity to teach all age groups and am passionate that those I teach feel accomplished in their learning. I now have four grandchildren that live nearby and range in age from 5 thru 12 yrs. It's wonderful to be able to teach them new things and see their delight when they master a skill. I have years of experience teaching through volunteering with children and adults through youth groups, Girl Scouts, VBS and SS classes. I have taught in group settings and one-on-one. I try to adapt my teaching method to the student(s) learning curve and particular learning method best received, whether it be kinesthetic, auditory or written word.
