"I have an educational background in teaching earth science to middle school students. I enjoyed working with these students by incorporating science into their everyday lives. My students were responsible to completing their weekly work, and on Fridays, if their work was completed, we held student auctions based on the points they had received for their weekly assignments.

I continued my education by completing my RN degree in the state of Florida where I also became a licensed Healthcare Risk Manager. This experience led me into long term care which involves both residents and their families. Being a Director of Nursing involves working with regulations, both state and federal, as well as company directions. Communication with other health care professionals, from physicians to dietary experts to pharmacists are major areas of focus in the care of residents. This experience allows me to assist and help others through tutoring students to focus on their areas of study.

I assist the student in seeing the reason for their science studies whether it is elementary science, example of daily weather conditions, to nursing students learning as much as they can through their books and tests to their clinical time and experience. Psychology is used through the nursing lessons, especially when clinicals in psychiatric nursing is next for the student nurse. I have three years of nursing experience as a psychiatric charge nurse in a 55 bed psychiatric facility.
