"Hello! I am currently an honors college student at Oregon State University majoring in 3 separate engineering field, those being bio, chemical, and mechanical engineering. Due to this wide spread, I have a very good understanding of the basics of math and science (as I must) and since I'm still currently a student they are fresh in my mind as I use them often! I spent the last two years of high school doing tutoring due to the need for it in my community given the lack of proper education created by the COVID pandemic. I am also an Eagle Scout and graduated valedictorian of my high school.

As for my approach to tutoring, I work best at helping students with practice problems and homework. To help them with these I typically will show them an example problem or use one of theirs, have them work through the problem while guiding them through any spots they get stuck to see what they are struggling with, and then continue to assist them with those problem areas until they can do the problems on their own. If they do not understand a problem at all then I will work through and explain an example problem while they watch and listen, and if needed I will teach them the fundamentals for what they are working on at the time.

I'm currently an engineering student in college and as such, I do advanced math daily. Due to the three degrees I am pursuing, I am also actively taking courses year-round (including the Summer) so all my math skills are constantly fresh (from algebra to advanced calculus). I have taken all the math courses required for my engineering degrees (it goes up to Vector Calc, Linear Algebra, and Applied Differential Equations) as well as several advanced courses applying such math.
