"I am currently a 4th grade teacher in Montgomery County and I love working with young learners. My love of teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. I enjoy getting to see the look on students' faces when a concept is finally mastered. That "ah-ha" moment is a happiness that is unequaled anywhere.

I know that hard work and dedication to learning can pay off and I want to help all of my students achieve success. I became a teacher to share my love of learning with a new generation of scholars.

I know that the summer slide can happen to students once school lets out and I want to be able to lessen those effects! As a current teacher, I know and understand what skills students should practice over the summer to stay sharp.

I have taught 4th and 5th grade math skills in Virginia and my students receive passing scores on the Math SOL test.

I majored in English as an Undergraduate and I still hold a passion for reading and grammar. Reading is a fundamental part of my teaching style. I incorporate reading to any subject that I teach. I consider it the building block of education.
