My name is TJ. From a very young age, I have had a passion for learning and sharing knowledge. I studied mathematics and physics during my undergraduate degree at the University of Central Arkansas. But why stop there? I later found a love for nature and received a Field Ecology certificate from Sacramento City College. I have had several tutoring jobs with different companies and working for myself, tutoring grades 3-12, and adults in various subjects but usually mathematics. My job as a tutor is not to give you the answers but to help you find the answers for yourself so that when it is test day, you know what to do.
I am passionate about many subjects: mathematics, physics, biology, ecology, environmental science, history, political science, geography, philosophy, etc. I play the guitar, piano, bass, drums, write songs, and sing (not so well). I am an avid naturalist who loves daily nature walks, identifying plants and pollinators, and growing native plants. If you want tutoring at an outdoor picnic bench, I would be thrilled!
I think of education as a lifelong pursuit that us offers us meaning and excitement, and I try to instill that passion for learning in my students.
