"Hello and I really hope you consider me for you tutor. I'm 20 years old and great with children. I was attending TVCC as a music major and have learned a few instruments. I have taken lessons in guitar, saxophone, piano, and clarinet. I believe I am qualified to be a sufficient tutor in guitar, saxophone, and clarinet. I have played them for many years now. I have also won awards in singing competitions and have directed a few choirs, so I believe I am qualified to be a great voice instructor as well. I'm not just all about music though.
I was an A student in school. I graduated high school with over 20 hours of college credits. I am certain I can help in almost any subject. I was a year ahead in my math classes and didn't have one to take my senior year of high school. I am a great teacher and I can connect with kids and help them learn faster. It's not what the child is learning that makes it difficult; it's how the student is being taught that makes learning so hard for some people. Most teachers these days teach things one way and if the child doesn't understand they say "too bad" and keep going with the lesson. That's what's wrong with teachers today. I believe that if the student doesn't understand something, figure out a way to teach it that they will understand. That's what I do. I find a thousand different ways to teach something until I figure out how my student learns. That's what makes me different from most people. I'm willing to do whatever it takes for a child to succeed." less...
