My strength is in Math and not English so please bear with me. My name is Mark and I am 23 years old. I graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics. Over the last year I have worked as an instructor at Mathnasium, which is a math-only learning center. Here I worked with grades K-12. Prior to that, I worked at an overnight summer camp as a counselor for 4 years (working with ages 6-10). Recently, I decided that pursuing a career in teaching is right for me. Working with students at Elementary and Middle School grade level is something that I really enjoy and Math is something that I understand, so I decided to put those two things together. Currently I am studying for my Provisional teaching license at the Middle school level. Along the way, I would love the opportunity to work with you and/or your student and help with anything that you need. Growing up, math has been a strength of mine. But, I know it isn't for a lot of people, and I'd like to help. If you/your student are/is in Elementary School or Middle School, and are (1) behind in Math, (2) at par with the class, or even (3) ahead of your/their grade level, then I would love to help in any way I can to meet your goals and expectations. I know it's not easy to ask for help. That's why I am here. Throughout each session, I am there with you/your student to (1) work through homework, (2) help prepare for a quiz or a test, and (3) go over any topics from class that you/your student has any questions about.
