"Hello, I am Tejsai, and I am an undergrad student who is striving at achieve a bachelor's degree in biology on the pre-medical track minoring in computer science. I am certified in tutoring through the CRLA board, as I work as a tutor at my university by tutoring university students and adults in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and biology subjects. So far, I have taken and excelled with A's in various academic courses.
I am currently tutoring in three separate instances. The first is as a San Antonio Math Include tutor who has been providing free tutoring via the zoom application online and in-person through summer camps to students for seven years now, and I have taught at elementary, middle, and high school levels to students from 3 to 18 years old. I teach the subjects of biology, chemistry, physics, computer sciences: java and python, calculus, algebra, trigonometry, and basic math. The second is as a STARS tutor at my university who has been tutoring collegiate and adult students in-person at the tutoring center in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and a wide variety of biology courses for two years now. The third is as a Khan Academy Schoolhouse tutor who has been tutoring international and US students online through schoolhouse's built in online tutoring platform in SAT math, SAT reading, SAT writing, and college counseling for three years now.
I hold sessions individually or in groups in-person and online. Through these experiences, I employ a tutoring style of allowing the students to figure out problems on their own by guiding them to the right answer. Usually, students will tell me at the start of the lesson or via a messaging platform before the session what they wish to cover. I will then prepare my own notes and problems before the lesson to help the students on. I will demonstrate a problem, then allow the student to go through the rest of their problems at their own pace while teaching them fun ways to memorize and apply concepts in the future.
