"Hello! I am originally from Tampa, FL and have lived in NYC for a little over three years. I graduated from an International Baccalaureate high school with a 6.29 weighted GPA and received my BFA in film production (and a minor in sociology) from Florida State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. In my professional life, outside of tutoring and teaching, I work primarily in film/TV, providing logistics support for production's set decoration departments. In this role, I consistently demonstrate my knowledge of and passion for the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and basic industry accounting programs.

My passion for working with students was sparked in university, while I was a TA for an acting class with acting students of all ages. I loved sharing my passion for filmmaking with others and helping students expand their understanding of the industry. I have experience in childcare both in FL and NY, as well as some formal tutoring experience, for clients K-12 in both English and mathematics, through Huntington Learning Center. As the eldest of nine cousins living locally in FL, I excelled at organizing activities, assisting with homework, and editing academic essays from an early age. My creative interests and values of compassion and comedic relief translate heavily into my tutoring style. I believe it is incredibly important for students, no matter their age or background, to feel respected by their tutor and therefore attack any issues or growth points together as a team.

I have been tutoring for 5+ years, primarily in one-on-one settings, and have experience doing so both in-person and virtually. I have experience tutoring individuals ages 8-25, but am comfortable tutoring outside this range depending on the subject matter.
