"Hi Everybody! I'm a current student at Rice University double-majoring in Economics and Sports Management and minoring in Entrepreneurship.

I have been tutoring for over four years now, teaching all sorts of subjects such as test prep, essay-writing, and high-school math. As someone who is still a college student, I understand firsthand the challenges and demands of academic life. I feel that I will be able to connect with students on a deeper personal level, making me not only a tutor but a relatable mentor.

I'm well prepared to teach test prep such as SAT Writing/Reading or AP English Language; I scored a 36 on the ACT Writing (English Grammar) sub-section and a 5 in AP English Lang. I have lots of recent experience going through test prep and have prior experience teaching SAT English Prep, so both the content and test strategies are still very familiar to me.

As for essays/writing, I can provide any type of necessary support when it comes to school-assigned essays—such as brainstorming, outlining, proofreading, and of course actual guidance during the writing process. After sessions together, students will improve in areas such as syntax, flow, and sophistication. I also wrote 20+ applications worth of college essays and have experience proofreading students' college essays, so I can help students when it comes to idea-generation and improving creativity and pop in their personal statements and supplementals.

With respect to math, I am currently taking a multivariable calculus class, so I think I would be most comfortable teaching any level of math up to pre-calculus, although I did take AP Calc BC during school.
