"Hello, I’m Sean. I graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in economics, and am a former management consultant and policymaker. I have three years of experience tutoring for a range of student ages and subjects, from elementary-school-level reading, to high-school AP Chemistry and math courses, to college political science courses as a teaching assistant, as well as high-school- and graduate-level standardized tests.

I remember taking the ACT and SAT tests in middle school and the exciting doors they opened for me, including college-based summer courses that would inspire and help inform by path to college after high school. And later, it was the GMAT and GRE that opened graduate-school opportunities for me, thanks to 99th-percentile scores on both tests.

Whether in middle school or in the middle of their careers, I’m eager to help students who are looking for that high-percentile score to get them where they want to go next. I focus on attention to detail and strategies for different question types so students can feel confident no matter what these tests throw their way. I begin with a quick diagnostic to understand what subjects and question types need to be covered, and then move on to teaching concepts and applying those to standardized-test questions. I also leave students with next steps so they can practice and refine their skills on their own time.
