"After graduating with a BA from Rutgers with High Honors and a MS in Chemistry from Cornell University, I have taught high school, as well as worked for ETS and other tutoring services preparing students for: high school examinations in General Chemistry, Honors and Advanced Placement (AP). During my 10 years of tutoring I have also tutored college level General Chemistry. I have helped both struggling students and advanced students meet their potential with individualized and organized instruction while sensitive to each student's personal needs. I also teach French, which is my native language. After graduating from a French high school with honors, I came to the USA and taught at the French Alliance in Boston while maintaining a private French tutoring practice. I teach all levels of French including I, II, III, IV, Honors, and AP. I also teach adults and children. In order for elementary school children to become comfortable/fluent in French (ages six and above) I have developed and tailored a French Curriculum. My French curriculum is individualized, flexible, friendly and fun. The following comments from Joan H, a private French student from Ridgewood, NJ attest to my teaching abilities:
"Nicole is a great French teacher! She's a native French speaker and a trained and skilled teacher who prepares lessons to meet the student where she is. She (Nicole) works on all aspects of learning a language: speaking, understanding, grammar, reading and conversation. She makes it lively and interesting by tailoring the class to my own interests. I highly recommend her." It is my goal and passion to teach each student as an individual and according to their strengths and needs. I encourage questions in both Chemistry and French to strengthen academic performance and as importantly, strengthen their problem-solving skills, meet their potential, and to develop the confidence needed for academic success. I am looking forward to hearing from you!" less...
