"My journey began at Temple University, where I pursued a degree in Neuroscience with a minor in Biology. During my time at Temple, I did tutoring for various courses within the Neuro curriculum. This experience was both challenging and enriching, as it allowed me to engage with a diverse range of students and learning styles. I also served as a TA for a course on development, plasticity, and repair. I ran small group sessions, honing my ability to convey concepts in an accessible manner. After my undergrad, I joined the National Institute on Drug Abuse. My 2 years in neuroscience research were not only professionally fulfilling but also gave real-world insights that I would later bring into the classroom. Recognizing my passion for teaching, I pursued a certificate to teach Biology from Drexel. This formal education, along with my practical experience, led me to my current role as a licensed teacher in NC. Over the past 4 years, I have taught High School Biology and Anatomy in a traditional classroom.
