For one year, I volunteered at the BYU English Language Center (ELC), and have helped many international students at the school in their endeavors to learn English. I have also tutored several students for the TOEFL test, and am familiar with the format and the needs of TOEFL students. Although all of my past tutoring has been voluntary, I have a lot of experience and have had success with all of my students. I am fun, quirky, and inventive with my teaching methods.
I am also currently studying Korean, and have studied with many Korean students through language exchanges, and would love to work with any interested native-Korean speakers. However, I am open to all languages and nationalities, and will gladly teach anyone who asks!
As for High School English, I am highly proficient in writing and literature. I received a 34 on the English ACT and a 32 on the Reading ACT. I love literature and writing! I have taken multiple creative writing classes. I was top of my class in English in High School. I would gladly teach anyone who is struggling, and help them appreciate English. :) I promise I won't make it boring!" less...
