"My name is Eric H. and I come to you with 16 years of teaching experience which allows me to know the prior knowledge that students should have for a course and the purpose current material has for future math courses. I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education. I began my teaching career at the middle school level where I taught 7th grade pre-algebra and 8th grade algebra. After two years I accepted a head coaching position at the local high school and requested to move my teaching assignment to the high school level. At the high school level I have taught regular level courses in algebra, geometry and algebra II. I have also to courses at the honors level in geometry, algebra II and precalculus. During my years of teaching I have also earned my Master’s and Education Specialist degrees in Educational Leadership and plan to pursue a position in school administration.

I have experience in tutoring high school age students through a school based tutoring program and really enjoy the opportunities for individual learning and success that is made possible in a one-to-one tutoring session. I have also tutored students in preparation for the ACT exam and love to see the joy when they return with improved test scores.

I also have three children of my own that I have “tutored” at home. I have one student at each school level; elementary, middle and high school.

I have extensive experience in working with children of middle and high school age and the math curriculums for those ages. Through my experience I will be able to make connections with the course of study they need tutoring on and the real-world application.

I have taught courses in pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, algebra II, and precalculus. I have also tutor individual students for the ACT exam.
