"I have been serving as a high school math teacher for the past 10 years. I have served in as a tutor in a variety of settings from beginning my education career as a college access advisor for a college access program to tutoring homebound students that needed additional supports to what in school services could provide. As a high school math teacher, I have taught Algebra, Geometry, Calculus and Probability/Statistics. One of the enjoyable parts of my job is to be able to create lessons and creative projects that make the content more accessible and engaging for my students. Since the start of the pandemic, I have embraced technology in my classroom. I have created over 200 YouTube videos that highlight Geometry, SAT Prep, Algebra, Calculus and study skills. My project this year has been to create content to help everyday math students prepare for the SAT. I have created a website and a book called 5 Steps to a 500+ that can help students reach a College Career Readiness Level on the SAT Math section.

I often find that issues in math class are not due to lack of intelligence or capability but rather issues in mindset and study skill. There is no one size fits all approach.
