"Hi! I’m Meenakshi, but I go by Meenu. I am a senior pursuing an Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering dual major at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

I’ve taken many difficult classes, in person and online, and I’ve found that the person teaching the material can make all the difference in both understanding the material and liking the class. Since I am an engineering student, I can also give context to the material taught in classes so that it doesn’t seem as theoretical!

I have tutored on my own as well as through my high school’s National Honor Society in math up to AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, and Honors Physics. I have also worked as a mentor for RPI’s Advising and Learning Assistance Center so I have learned how to teach and communicate with students of all different ages and levels. Through my personal and tutoring experience with math, I have learned how to pinpoint and correct each student’s difficulties in each subject. My goal is to meet each student where they are at and make sure that I can explain the material in a way that makes sense to the student.

I have excelled in difficult and rigorous math courses in both high school and college. I received perfect scores in the SAT and ACT math sections as well as a 5 in the AP Calculus BC Exam. I have continued to do well in college and now I am part of the IEEE Honor Society HKN.
