"I am entering my 8th year teaching at a public high school in the Kansas City, MO area. I teach French, English, AP Literature, and ACT Prep with a focus on English and Reading. I have taught these subjects for all 7 of my years of teaching. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a private tutor for a few different families. The students ranged from elementary to high school and I helped with all subjects. While my specialty may be in the languages, I am willing and able to help younger students in any subject area and high school students with additional subjects such as social studies and biology.

I graduated from UMKC in 2016 with a dual degree in French and K-12 Education. I am finishing my Masters in Applied Second Language Acquisition (fancy talk for teaching a second language) from Missouri State University. Throughout all of my own schooling, I was one of those kids whom peers often asked for help. I was happy to oblige when I was able. I feel my strengths as a teacher and tutor are patience and reflection. I am always thinking about how things are going and how I can adjust to make sure students get what they need.
