"I'm Ms. Liz, a master teacher that graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mount Saint Mary College with a MS in Literacy and over 30 years of teaching motivational lessons in the areas of Language Arts, Literacy, Computer Technology and Study Skills to Elementary and Secondary School students. Along the years I have also attained a MS in Art Education, BA in Fine Art and recently attained certification to teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). When I'm not teaching/tutoring, I enjoy working on art projects, cooking and tending to my five playful chickens.

I enjoy teaching and I am passionate about providing a fun yet challenging atmosphere where students can reach their full potential. I love making lessons as hands-on as possible to address the different learning styles of my students. The teaching philosophy and tutoring style that has brought the most success throughout the years is my belief that children are unique and must have a stimulating environment where they can grow emotionally, spiritually and physically. I believe that a teacher/tutor should build a good rapport with their students. My teaching motto is, "In order to teach a student, you first have to reach the student!" In my experience this process encourages and inspires students to achieve not only educationally but also socially. Providing a fun, safe environment which invites students to share their ideas, opens up minds for exploration in all areas of life.

As a tutor I aim to bring an open mind, positive attitude and high expectations to my students.I have taught motivational lessons in Literacy/English for over 30 years.
