"I lived in Florence, Italy for twenty-five years, and am completely fluent in Italian. I have taught Italian language and culture for a total of ten years in two public school districts, as well as privately (as an online and in-person tutor) for twenty years.

I am a certified teacher in Illinois and possess a Master of Arts in Teaching. In addition to teaching Italian, I tutor middle school, high school, and college students needing help with their writing skills (including composition, grammar, syntax, vocabulary enrichment, and spelling, as well as writing essays, reports, short stories, prose, and poems.) Creative writing is my specialty. I have found that it carries over into my students' academic writing skills. Creative writing helps my students build confidence while improving their writing ability. I also help high school students write their personal essays for their college applications.
