"My name is Jessica. I am a young, energetic teacher who has a passion for working with students. I will be entering my 11th year teaching this Fall. I have taught both 4th and/or 5th grade. I have taught all subjects at each grade level. In my classroom, I make learning fun by incorporating the students interests into my lessons. I ask and listen to students feedback to make my classroom an enjoyable place to learn.

I have tutored students in both small group and one on one. Being a teacher of 25-30 students, I really enjoy working with a students one on one to meet their specific needs. I believe that developing a strong relationship with students is an important part of achieving success.

I have taught Common Core standards for the past two years in both Ohio and California. I am currently on the Common Core ELA and Math committee at my school. We are creating units based on the Common Core Standards. I have also attended numerous professional developments about how to read, unwrap and implement the standards into the classroom.

I have my Bachelors and Masters degree in Education. In addition, I have my Reading Endorsement K-12 and am a highly qualified teacher.
