Reading Fluency, Including Oral reading Skills: The ability to read with accuracy, and with appropriate rate, expression, and phrasing.

Vocabulary Development: The knowledge of words, their definitions, and context.

Reading Comprehension Strategies: Ability to make predictions, visualize, ask and answer questions, retell and summarize text to deepen understanding

Writing: Strengthen basic writing skills in sentence structure, grammar, topic and thesis statements and essay structure.

I have taught English Language Arts and Reading to 6th-12th graders for over 10 years. I am certified to teach reading to struggling readers and English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). I also hold TEFL (Teaching English as Foreign Language) certification. My goal is to ensure academic success and personal achievement for every learner through customized lesson planning.
