I'm Michael, a current student at Colorado School of Mines working on a degree in Design Engineering with a focus on Robotics and Automation, and a minor in Electrical Engineering for Power and Energy systems. In High school I received several awards for my aptitude in Math, Science, and History, including a 5 score on the AP European history test, and a 1470 on the SAT.
During my time in College I spent several semesters abroad and was exposed to very different teaching environments and fellow students with very different outlooks on the education they were working on. Through the fog of those variations, one element remained consistent: difficulty understanding topics presents a near insurmountable hurdle to students made no easier by the high workload and fast pace of most American Schools. School work can pile up quickly, making that hurdle even taller.

It's important to me to help the student find the intrinsic motivation and healthy mindsets that facilitate their learning into the future." less...
