A little background may be in order.

As a student, my life and chosen path have been dramatically shaped by the academic and personal influence of my teachers. I knew relatively early that my life's goal was to pass on some of the love of learning that I had acquired. As an undergraduate, although my major was history, I took the opportunity to expand my academic horizons, studying languages (ancient and modern), science, drama, and more. After graduating in 2011, I became a middle school teacher at a small classical school, where I taught American History, spelling, life sciences, and Latin to 5th and 6th graders. This experience further fueled my determination to become the best teacher I could be. I spent this past summer teaching an introductory Latin course to incoming students and tutoring several students in the basics of classical language learning.
