I have been teaching and tutoring since 1972 when I graduated from Western Carolina University. I have tutored students in middle school, high school and college. The students I have tutored have been in private schools, public schools and home schools. As an online tutor I have even tutored students around the world. Having spent 20 years home schooling my own children I have a good understanding of the needs of those students also.

In Charlotte, NC I taught middle school math for 8 years and high school math for 2 years. Although I enjoyed my time spent in the classroom, I love tutoring. I love to meet a student and be able to teach exactly what that student needs to be successful in the class he/she/they is taking. Sometimes that means backing up a chapter or two and sometimes that even means backing up to a previous course...whatever it takes to get the job done. With me you will have a safe place to ask questions and not feel intimidated. Those questions might be from past assignments or from notes you have taken in class that you did not understand. And we will celebrate your progress as you begin to feel more confident and see your grades improve.
