"Hello, my name is Brandon. I am currently pursuing my bachelors degree in political science at Miami University. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Columbus State Community College with an associate of arts in political science.

As an experienced tutor, with two years of experience; I have tutored a variety of students, such as honors students, college students who needed extra help with material. I have also tutored high school and middle school students who were looking to better understand their class material and get better grades. I mostly tutor students on a one-to-one basis which allows me to get a better understanding of the students goals and what they need help with. I then help them through practice problems. I tutored a variety of subjects such as algebra, chemistry, social studies, and history.

I generally teach by giving a thorough review of the content that the student wants to be taught on, I then use increasingly difficult problems to check for proficiency in the subject. If a student gets a problem wrong and does not understand why, I go through step by step so they can discover not only what they got wrong; but also what they can do for future problems.

Some of my scores include a four on the AP US history and AB calculus exams, as well as a three on the AP US government exam. I got a 3.7 GPA in high school and had a 3.8 GPA at Columbus State.

History has always been a passion of mine. For me history has a way to present solutions to some modern issues. I also believe that history is a way to see large scale patterns that are very applicable to our own lives. Connecting the past to the present was a useful skill that I learned that allowed me to win two class rewards in social studies in high school, as well as give me a better understanding of the modern world.
