"Hi! I am a freshman pre-med undergraduate student in the Rutgers University-New Brunswick School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. As for qualifications, I earned a five on the AP Biology test in high school, an A in Honors General Chemistry, and an A in an advanced biological research course. Outside of the classroom, I engage in research where I am currently exploring the long-term effects of COVID-19 under the guidance of a graduate student. My time in the lab has taught me how to break complex topics into digestible parts, a skill highly transferable in the tutoring world. Additionally, I was an online tutor for UPcheive, a service that helps those in need with homework and studying, for many years, racking up more than 300 hours tutored on the website. This extensive experience tutoring online has helped me create an effective system of step-by-step explanation, which leads to interactive sessions where students can practice problem-solving in real-time. I find that this method not only reinforces the material but also helps students develop long-term skills they can apply across various scientific subjects. Whenever a student encounters a challenging concept, I break it down step by step and then guide them through practice problems until they feel confident moving forward independently.
