"I have extensive experience with HTML and CSS producing and developing interactive and digital projects – from large websites (Sony, Haagen-Dazs) to integrated marketing campaigns involving websites and other online media (Be a Brit Different for Visit Britain) to Social Media (Visit London). I began working in HTML when Netscape Navigator and IE3.0 were cutting edge browsers. I have kept up as the language evolved and its capabilities grew. And I have come to appreciate the craft and beauty of semantic, valid HTML. More recently I have been developing sites with WordPress/PHP/Javascript.
Working on the web encompasses many skills. It starts with content analysis and strategy, and moves on to visual design, layout and typography, but it also includes user interface/experience, information architecture and editorial voice as well. Then a site needs to be coded (HTML/CSS/Javascript/WordPress/PHP) and any design should work across many devices, platforms and browsers (Responsive Design and Progressive Enhancement).
