"While my principle area of study in my undergraduate career was biology, I took advantage of my liberal arts university to pursue a minor in French. I have been speaking French for 8 years now and have experience with formal and informal language skills. I have been a TA for biochemistry at the university level and have also held French language classes for university students.

I have been a private tutor for over 6 years and love helping my students find their passions through education. While I understand that not every person finds learning to be as incredible as I do, I am a firm believer in the power of an education. I believe that learning is transformative and I would love to be a part of your educational journey.

I received a BS in biology from Whitworth University this past May and will go on as a PhD candidate in Neuroscience at the University of Calgary this autumn. I have experience as a TA in biochemistry. I also have completed award-winning biological research based in animal, cell, and neurophysiology.

I have been studying French for 8 years, which has culminated in receiving a minor (in addition to my major in Biology) in French and Francophone Studies from Whitworth University. I have experience leading French language classes and tutoring sessions that were specifically designed to target students' informal and formal language needs respectively.

I have been a private tutor for over 6 years now, and the majority of my tutoring has been for grammar and standardized test preparation. English grammar was my first educational passion, and I kept up with it at Whitworth University in classes like Structure and Development of the English Language. I scored within the 99th percentile for the language portions of my own SAT exam and have helped students to prepare for their own SAT, private school entrance essays, and personal statements for college admission.
