"I am currently tutoring a first grade student. When I tutor a student, I like to use hands on materials to allow them to use their sense of hearing, sight, and touch.

The reason that I love to tutor is the fact that it allows me to see growth in the students I work with. It also allows me to get to know them and adjust the materials I use to fit their individual needs.

I am currently a kindergarten teacher but I have worked with students at all age levels through tutoring, girl scout camp counselor, and swim instructor.

Before I started teaching kindergarten, I working in my district's reading program and I am a Reading Specialist, and have my Reading Specialist degree.

I am currently tutoring a student with dyslexia using the Take Flight dyslexia curriculum and I am working on becoming a certified Academic Language Therapist.
