As an artist, I have always taken a multidisciplinary approach and so my skillset is varied. I really enjoy a variety of art processes and this is one of my strengths as a tutor. I can think outside the box and help you push your ideas into many different directions! I also have years of life drawing, color, composition, and classical art study experience, so I can help you build a strong foundation for your formal studies as well.
I Have roughly 3 years of tutoring experience in various subjects. Although my focus is on visual art, I can help with the core school subjects as well. I tailor my approach to my students individual needs and personalities. If my student wants to focus primarily on life drawing, I will create an environment to focus on hand eye coordination and proportional study. If they need help with pushing their artistic concepts and ideas, we can spend more time on building a knowledge of contemporary art and pushing their experimentation of other media. I have worked with different kinds of students, including neurodivergent kids, and it has taught me to meet people where they are at first, so that I can find out what makes learning exciting for them. I believe that my years of art study are not what make me a good teacher, it’s my ability to really listen to my students and show them their own potential." less...
