"I have two years of experience teaching elementary-age students violin, viola and cello, as well as one year of experience teaching middle school/high school students violin, viola, cello and bass. I have given private lessons on all four of these instruments as well as guitar, and am capable of giving piano and voice lessons, as well as beginner brass and woodwind lessons. I received A+'s in all of my theory classes, and have been composing and arranging for 6 years.
I also was in AP Lang and Comp, AP Calc BC, AP US History and several other AP classes in High School that I am able to provide insight on. I have independently studied Spanish and Persian, and while I am a little rusty, I will be happy to refresh myself should you be interested in this.
I am hard-working, friendly, compassionate, good at analogies and at re-imagining concepts to find ways for different minds to understand. I have tutored many students and peers, and it is my personal mission to ensure you acquire the information, tools and skills you need to be successful.
I am an outstanding music tutor because I have received nothing but A's in all of my undergraduate music classes. I have passed both my piano proficiency exam and my Double Bass sophomore barrier. I have two years of experience with String Project teaching students from 8-17 on cello and bass especially, but also on violin and viola. I have some teaching experience on guitar, and marginal experience teaching piano, voice, woodwinds and brass. I have been composing and arranging for 6+ years, and am obsessed with music theory. I have been well-versed in music history as well.
Please do contact me! I look forward to working with any aspiring musicians, as well as helping to fine-tune skills of more advanced students. We can discuss availability to work with your schedule, and ensure you get quality education for your money." less...
