"I have been working with children my entire life! I started tutoring people younger then me when I was in middle school. I continued on to be a peer counselor when I was in high school. I chose Community Health Education as my major because I wanted to reach as many people I could. I worked with every age group pre-k through the active adult population. I have coordinated programs in relation to health, physical activity, nutrition, and drug/alcohol and violence prevention. I have extensive experience on working with hard to reach populations and young people in the juvenile justice system. I served as a safety and security specialist and a dean of students. I am excited for the opportunity to tutor because I want to see your child succeed. I am patient and kind. I connect well with young people.
I am eligible for temporary certification in K-12 health. I have studied health related topics for over 20 years.
I have written publications for local newspapers. I have presented on the state level on child passenger safety. I am also in some videos for your viewing online in relation to child passenger safety.
I am here to help! I will put my best foot forward with you and your lesson every time. My big weakness if math. If you are looking for a math tutor, I am not the best person for the job.
I look forward to working with you!
Thanks for the opportunity!" less...
