I have worked with students with varying backgrounds from those who need a lot of help, those with special needs, and those who need a little help getting over some hurdles.

I have a varying degree of educational background teaching students 3 years of age to adults. I have professionally taught middle school, high school, and college (career, technical, associates, bachelors, masters, and doctorates).

I have been teaching music for over 16 years and have almost 30 years of experience in the arts with 25 of those in music. I am active in my community and perform at open mics and festivals. I have been enjoying teaching students basic, intermediate, and advanced skills in piano, voice, and songwriting.

I have a PhD from a research 1 institution and have taken both the GMAT and GRE. I have always written questions for similar examinations and can help you understand not only the content, but also to understand how tests are written.

My motto is, “unlocking the keys to exceptional music.” I strive to help each student person achieve musical excellence by teaching you to love music as much as I do. I have been in the arts for over 35 years with the majority of that in music. My musical background includes clarinet, self-taught flute, piano, vocals, guitar, and songwriting. I have performed in choruses, solo performances and in bands. I have been teaching for over 16 years. Let’s start a new wonderful musical journey together.
