"Hello! Welcome to my profile. I double-majored in English studies and journalism with a minor in creative writing at California State University Chico (Chico State). I know MLA and AP (Associated Press) Style well.

During my time at Chico State, I spent one semester tutoring ESL college students and adults who were not Chico State students but part of the surrounding community. I helped students whose native language Is not English write essays and do other college assignments in English and helped English language learners practice their conversational English skills. My knowledge of Spanish helps me be more helpful to people who speak Spanish but are learning English because I can explain concepts to them in Spanish if they are having trouble with it in English. I was also an editor for Chico State's literary magazine, The Watershed Review, for one semester. I worked on Chico State's student newspaper, The Orion, for a year -- one semester as an arts and entertainment reporter and one semester as the arts and entertainment section editor.

Currently, I am a freelance writer for three different companies. I cover a wide range of subjects, from blogs about restaurants and daycares to product roundups of the best ankle braces, for example.
