"My name is Dr. Kazeem, I hold a PhD in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and began my teaching career at college level in 2012. I have taught and tutored students in Statistics and various aspect of Mathematics across diverse background. I have more than 20 years experience in teaching and tutoring in any mathematically related subjects with desired results. I am originally from Nigeria, married to Nurat and blessed with five lovely daughters. My family and I are seeking refuge in the United States.
I have considerable experience in teaching and research at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria where I started my faculty career and have been able to mentor a good number of students. This I continued at the School of Statistics, University of Minnesota, USA as a Lecturer since 2018. I also doubled as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies.
I was among the 40 recipients of the prestigious award of Association of commonwealth Universities in London in 2015, where I have the privilege to present my PhD work at the prestigious University of Oxford, United Kingdom.
I believe as a teacher in addition to helping students acquire new analytical tools, it becomes very essential to also spark their passion for learning, deepen their understanding of real-world phenomena, and encourage the development of their own ideas. This is my integral source of my enthusiasm for teaching and my commitment to improving students’ learning experience. My commitment reflects my gratitude to the great teachers and mentors that respectively planted and nurtured my statistical seeds to harvesting stage." less...
