"I have a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and a second degree in Statistics. I was awarded the ARCS (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) Scholarship for the Ph.D Program at UCSD. I also received the highest possible score in the Subject GRE (Mathematics). I find Mathematics to be a misunderstood subject and love showing my students the beauty of MathematicsI enjoy both the abstract and practical part of Mathematics, and because I have applied Mathematics to solve real life problems, I can also help students with the "when are we ever going to use this for?"

I have been teaching Mathematics for the past 35 years. Although I love teaching, I have always preferred tutoring, since I like to make sure I address the specific questions and needs of my students individually. My strength is explaining the "why" as opposed to just the "how". I am very good at doing the problems one step at a time.
