"I have a Masters of Arts in Playwriting and Dramatic Literature from the University of Cincinnati, an MFA in Fiction Writing from the University of Houston, and a PhD in Creative Writing and Literature, also from the University of Houston. I love working with students in the K-12 system, college students, and adult professionals who just want to learn more about the English language or about writing.

I have been a college instructor for over 30 years, and have worked in the K-12 setting for over 25. Most recently, I worked with young writers in Houston's Writers in the Schools program, and college students at the University of Houston and the University of North Carolina School for the arts. I also work as a dissertation coach helping students finish their master's theses and doctoral dissertations. I believe everyone has at least one story to tell or a set of poems inside them, and I can help draw that out. I can also help with more practical types of documents, like cover letters and resumes, college and grad school essays, and homework for English classes of all levels.
