"I was a teacher for over 18 years teaching mostly Social Studies courses, but also incorporated quite a bit of English/Literature lessons into my classes as well.

My specialty has always been American History and am developing a virtual class that will offer field trips to some of our most interesting historic sites across the nation.

I left the regular classroom to pursue that vision and also to be a Tour Director, leading students and adults through Washington DC and most recently Cuba.

I struggled as a student when I was in school but I never gave up and I ended up prospering. I love to tutor and guide students who might be going through some of those same struggles.

As a teacher, I incorporated literature units into my history classes and taught writing skills as well.

I have a passion for history, whether it be American History or World History. I have a knack for making the boring things interesting!
