I graduated from University of Oklahoma Health Science Center (OUHSC) earning a Master of Health Sciences degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. While at OUHSC I was a tutor for math & science.

I majored in biology as an undergraduate student at Langston University (LU). I graduated Summa Cum Laude, as the Highest ranking student from the School of Arts and Science, and the Highest ranking student from the Biology Department. While at LU, I was a paid student tutor for Biology & Algebra for the University and I conveyed study skills I utilized to pass the courses with an A to other students.

Raising children continues to make me enjoy & practice teaching while accommodating learning styles; One has autism and was non-verbal in the past. I've helped him become a talkative person that loves learning and asking questions! I enjoy caring for people. I am working in health care for over a decade now. I have worked with multidisciplinary team members to provide psych-educational group lessons, treat & manage brain disorders, teach and train 1-on-1, and create medical at-home discharge plans & person centered plans.

I favor tutoring that involves verbal communication between the tutor and student, relating real life situations, and worksheets to learn, understand, and retain information. However, my methods vary according to the learning style of the student and the subject. I have experience with school-age children and adults, including students with ADHD, PDD, seizure disorders, and low self-confidence. I want to help students as best I can, so I appreciate suggestions from students and parents.
