"I am currently a high school physics teacher, teaching all levels of physics: Conceptual Physics, Regular Physics, AP Physics 1, AP Physics C (both Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism). Whether you are a high school student (public, private, or home-school) or majoring in a STEM field in college, I will be able to help you in your intro physics courses (both algebra-based and calculus-based physics courses). If you are needing help understanding physics, how to set up and solve problems, or seeing how it connects to your life, then I'm your guy!
I have been teaching physics since 2000, and I love my job! I love getting students to understand how and why the world works through the lens of physics! 98% of my students pass the AP Physics exam, scoring a 3 or better, and 70% of my AP Physics C students have earned a 5 on their exams every year. I was chosen as Teacher of the Year in my high school in 2016. I have received both my undergraduate and Master's degrees in Physics and Education from Purdue University. Learning physics didn't come naturally for me, but this is a strength in my teaching because I can relate to the struggle of understanding physics.
Tutoring is a way to help subsidize my income as a public school educator. Thank you for your support! I'm looking forward to helping you make understanding physics a reality!" less...
