Math was something I struggled with throughout college, and through my struggle, I learned how to understand topics in math more conceptually and less technically. I translated the math into my own language and that is what I do for my students.

After bouncing between various majors, I completed a degree in Statistics with a math minor and an economics minor. I graduated with magna cum laude honors, which my mother likes to tell all of her friends, and I have been private tutoring for about 2 years - with 5 clients ranging from 1 month to about 4 months in duration and an age range of 13 - 17. I also taught at a Mathnasium tutoring center for 8 months with an age range of 6 - 17 in group lessons. Finally, I was a teachers assistant for Intro to Math Reasoning, an upper level college math course, where I'd been the teachers pet the previous semester
I have experience with a wide range of ages and cultures and I love working with students on how to think about math and specific problems as well as strategies for test taking.
